Newborn baby photography, candid child photos or family portraits, our aim is to make our time together both fun and memorable. Each stage of your child's life and the development of your family brings special changes you will want to remember.

* We come to you! We find photographing in the comfort of your own home provides you with a safe and familiar environment, allowing for a more relaxed photo session with everyone's comfort being the priority. We arrive to you fully prepared along with a portable lighting kit and black backdrops to create the style of photos you see in our galleries. We also utilise the natural surroundings of the child, looking for clear bright areas that avoid any distracting backgrounds. We may also move small items of furniture to take advantage of the best area in your home.

* Each shoot takes approximately one-two hours (newborns please allow 2-3 hours) depending on each individual child, and to ensure the happiest photographs it is best that your little ones are well rested with a full tummy before we begin!

* We book our photo shoots both in the morning and afternoon, working around feeding and sleeping patterns, and photograph both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) to ensure lots of variety! If you prefer, your favourite local park or beach can also provide stunning backdrops. Keeping in mind outdoor sessions are best scheduled either early morning or late afternoon to take advantage of the soft natural daylight.

* Clothing is an important element of your photos so we strongly suggest that you consider simple coloured outfits for all, avoiding heavy patterns and logos to ensure your images do not date or detract from the expressions. Whether you choose a formal look or casual setting, photographing at your home enables you to quickly change an outfit for a different look, with favourite toys close at hand. Jeans work really well as you can dress them up or down - bare feet always looks great too!

* Naturally we are more than happy to photograph any combination of immediate family members, and when not being photographed yourself you will be able to help coax the winning smiles from your Bub !

* Within 5-6 days of your photo shoot we post you a Disc with 50 of the best images from the session, chosen by us. Each image has basic retouching applied (scratches & blemishes removed), is cropped and enhanced. Each image is in both colour and black & white, at high print resolution as well as low resolution for easy online use. This Disc containing the printable digital negatives is yours to keep, print and share!

* Since you have your own Disc of images from the shoot, you are then able to print your own photos to the size and quantity you desire; each high resolution file is capable of being printed to an A3+ sized enlargement. Naturally this is very cost effective, and we are more than happy to offer recommendations as to where best to print your images; please see our Links page.
